Legal Status:
SAMATHA is a registered Society under Societies Registration Act of 1860. It has FCRA registration with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The FCRA registration No: 010120182. Dated: 5-12-2001 & has registered under 12A & 80 G for local funds mobilization.
Nature of organization:
It is a registered NGO implementing programmes for the uplifting of rural poor. Apart from implementing the projects in its project area SAMATHA organizes training programmes to the members of other organizations. It is also involved in lobbying and advocacy work in the interest of women, Dalits, farmers and landless laborers.
Our Work
Well Trained Staff in Watershed Development:
SAMATHA has a 3 member Watershed Team who have undergone the Watershed Training Courses conducted by APARD Hyderabad for days and also undergone number of trainings programs in watershed conservation that were conducted by MYRADA Kadiri & CWS HYD. We are experienced in conducting the Participatory Rural Appraisals (PRAs) and in preparing the micro action plans.
Experience in watershed activities:
SAMATHA has gained good experience in prepared the detail project report and Puttaparthi mega watershed with the guidance of MYRADA Kadiri by our expertise staff (who is trained in APARD Hyderabad). At Present implementing watershed programme in kondampalli, Cherlopalli, Settipalli and Gonipeta Villages of Penukonda Mandal with the support of ICRISAT-REC Hyderabad.
